From Holidays to Home Life: A Little Catch-up

From Holidays to Home Life: A Little Catch-up

Hey there,

Its been a lttle while since I last wrote here… honestly, where has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday I was planning for Christmas, and now somehow its already Easter.

So much has happened in that time. After Christmas, we enjoyed the rest of the school holidays, went on a lovely little camping trip to Eden (such a beautiful part of the world), and then jumped straight back into school and work routines. Since then, we’ve been working our way through the house doing a very big clean-out - I’d even go as far as to say we’ve been agressively decluttering…but more on that another time.

Happy Easter, by the way! I hope you’ve had a restful weekend filled with family, friends, and a bit of fun. We actually just got back from another little camping trip - this time to Narooma - which was just gorgeous. I’ve picked up some great tips for camping with kids that I’ll share in an upcoming post.

We also celebrated my and my husbands birthday. There was cake of course my husband had a white chocolate cheesecake his favourite and mine was a vanilla cake decorated by my beautiful bears.

I thought this would be a nice time to reintroduce myself, as it still feels like the start of a new year. My name is Kathryn, and I am the creator behind My Three Bears, a baking and handmade business.

I’m a proud mum of two beautiful boys (my little bears!) and married to my biggest bear - my wonderful husband. My Three Bears has grown from my love of all things handmade. Whether its sewing, baking, or getting creative in some way, I’ve always found joy in making things for the people I love.

What started as a hobby has slowly grown into something more, and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing others enjoy what I create. I especially love designing custom cakes and baked treats for all kinds of occasions - birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, or even just because.

With this blog, I am hoping to share the things I’ve learned along the way since becoming a mum - because lets be honest, most of us are just figuring it out as we go. So we may as well fumble through it together.

I’ll also be sharing bits and pieces of the things I love - baking, sewing, food preservation, and my latest challenge: learning how to garden (which, if I’m honest is proving a little harder than I expected). If you’re a beginner too, we can learn together.

If you know me, you’ll also know I love a good plan. I’ve never met a piece of stationary, todo list or spreadsheet I didn’t like. I’m always creating checklists, home systems, and yearly planners to keep life running smoothly - and I’d love to start sharing those as well. I figure if I’m making them anyway, they might as well help someone else too.

If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, I’d love for you to come along for the ride. You can sign up to my newsletter or follow along on Instagram and Facebook, and we’ll figure out this whole life thing together.

Much love,

Kathryn
